Still The Same

I played twice over the last couple of days. Once at Blair Atholl in the Longdon Trophy on Sunday, and in the Wednesday Winter League today at Blair Atholl.
I am fed up with coming off the course dissapointed. I once again didnt break 100 today. My golf is crap and I dont know what to do about it. This has been going on for 18 months now, and unles something happens soon I am going to have another 12 months of feeling like this. Fact is that in 2008 I played 29 tournaments at Pitlochry and got my handicap down to 11. Through the winter of 2008/2009 my game started to deteriorate to the extent that my confidence is so low that in 2009 I played just 7 tournaments at Pitlochry and only broke 100 twice. Handicap is 14 now but realistically I am playing to 25-27ish. I just dont know . I DO know the little chips shots that I CANNOT do anymore are a major contribution to my decline. Ive tried lessons, no good. Ive practised hour upon hour, day upon day on my own to rectify the chip shots, still no good.
So what to do ? Maybe I will play as many medals, comps etc that I can both at Blair Athol & Pitlochry and let my handicap slide back to the level Im playing and start all over again. Sooo damn dissapointing and frustrating.

2010 Intro @ Pitlochry

Just been up to Pitlochry golf course this morning to hand in my subscription monthly payment scheme form. The course looks green and little bits of snow. Still closed though, evidently there are bad areas up the top end of the course. Hopefully it may be open tomorrow when I am going to try and get a game.

First Comp Of The Year!

Well, I managed to get in my first competiton of the year , the Longdon Trophy at Blair Atholl. I had a nightmare on the first 9 , shooting a 55 ! ( worst opening 9 in a LONG time ). Second 9 I managed much better shooting a 42 making gross 97 , nett 83, I finished second to last though, but on the plus side I did pick up a4 sleeves of TaylorMade balls in the prizegiving.

This chipping around the greens, still a MAJOR problem, cost me at least 5 shots ( probably nearer to 8 ). I just dont have any confidence in this shot. I will overcome this, dont know how, dont know when.

Things are on the move.

Saturday, and all things golf are on the move. Am making a start on the P.R.A.G.S. 2010 schedule, spoke to Roger earlier this morning, have a doubles game booked at Pitlochry next Saturday ( weather permitting ) , and maybe a game at Blair Atholl tomorrow ( wife permitting ..lol )

Practise at last !!

Thursday, had to go into perth for an appointment so I took the Driver, 7 iron and 52 degree wedge and also went to Noahs Ark for 100 balls practise. I hit good balls too, but then again I wasn't less than 2o feet from the green, and thats where all my problems lay...little chips. BUT, looking positive I will look forward to returning to the course.
Don't know what is happening @ Pitlochry regarding easy payment options for the years membership and I think they are leaving things late to let all the players know the company who are dealing with the finances etc.

Snow..Snow..SUN..Snow....

Into January, and been weeks since Ive been able to play golf. Ive just returned from Fuertaventura with the wife, been for 10 days and had a fabulous relaxing time. So much so that Im itching to get back on the fairways again.
Apart from that, not much happening, learning my new ps2 Tiger Woods 2010..edited the Blair Atholl Golf Club website..watching the weather.
